‘The Secret’ put manifesting in the zeitgeist and now, 17 years later, we are finally getting scientific proof that the Law of Attraction is real - but there is way more to manifesting than just positive thinking.

The real secret to manifestation is energy. We are energy, the stuff we want is energy and there is energy in between.

To become a master manifestor, you must learn how to use energy to create a high vibe life - but what the flip does that actually mean?

Well, for starters it doesn’t mean forcing yourself to be happy all the time. That’s called toxic positivity.

No, being high vibe requires a holistic approach, meaning that you need to first heal any emotional wounds, grow through self-development and transform by undoing any conditioning that is unsupportive of the life you wish to lead.

In this blog post I want to explore what it means to be ‘high vibe’ and how the energy of colour can play a vital role in creating a balanced life so you can maintain a consistent vibration and be a magnet for your desires without falling into the toxic positivity trap.

We’ll cover:

• What is a high vibe life?

• The energy of colour

• Using colour to heal

• Colour for personal growth

• Transforming with colour

So, grab a cuppa something good and get ready to colour yourself happy!

What is a High Vibe Life?

Everything in the universe, including our thoughts and feelings, has a vibrational frequency. We naturally attract experiences and opportunities that match this frequency—this is the essence of manifestation.

However, this doesn’t mean we need to strive to exist in blissful euphoria all the time. In my opinion, a ‘high-vibe life’ refers to living in emotional balance and integrating all our feelings.

We are, after all, human beings and with that comes a kaleidoscope of emotions. Sometimes ‘raising your vibration’ means just choosing the next best feeling to move you up the scale a little.

Colour is one of the simplest, yet most powerful, ways to uncover subconscious blocks, shift your energy and elevate your vibe so that you can manifest in alignment with your goals and dreams.

The Energy of Colour

Each colour carries its own unique vibrational frequency which impacts our own energetic field.

Whether through our environment, clothing, or visualisations—these vibrations influence our mood, energy levels, and even our subconscious mind.

Being aware of the colours we interact with on a daily basis and making mindful choices around decor, clothing or even the food we eat can help us maintain balance.

For example, if you are feeling anxious and stressed it’s not a good idea to be around hot, vibrant colours like red or orange as this will intensify the emotion.

Conversely, if you’re feeling tired and lethargic dark blues and greys will only exacerbate these so you might want to engage with yellow or bright green to boost your energy.

Essentially, by consciously using colour, we can shift our emotional state and support our overall wellbeing, setting the stage for personal growth and transformation.

Using Colour to Heal

Colour can be a powerful tool for supporting physical healing by influencing the body’s energy field. Each colour has specific properties that can help balance and restore areas of the body experiencing discomfort or illness.

In Chinese medicine each organ in the body is assigned a colour and it is believed that treating any imbalances with the right hue can restore equilibrium.

The ancient Egyptians used sunlight projected through coloured glass and on to the body, believing it to heal wounds and physical symptoms.

The use of colour is also prominent in the Indian alternative medicine practice of Ayurveda. Each of the seven chakras, or energy centres, is associated with a colour from the spectrum and used to restore balance and energetic flow.

For example, green is associated with the heart chakra and is known for its calming and restorative energy, making it ideal for healing inflammation or promoting overall physical recovery. Blue is often used for pain relief, especially for soothing headaches, sore throats, or fevers, as it carries a cooling and tranquil vibration.

While not a substitute for medical care, using colour as a complementary healing tool helps harmonise energy, promote relaxation, and support the body's innate ability to heal itself.

Colour For Personal Growth

I cannot stress enough how much getting colour conscious has aided me on my personal development journey. It has a been a highly effective catalyst for so much growth, not only shining a light on my subconscious blocks but also helping me to overcome them.

Recognising why I gravitated to certain colours (black in particular) and avoided others (blue) means I have been able to release these issues and work on my weaknesses in a more confident way.

For example, being able speak up and express myself and my ideas is crucial but the negative connotations I had around the colour blue meant there was a huge energetic blockage around my throat chakra.

Once I became aware of why I had this negative association I was able to let it go. This then meant I was able to work with blue in a more strategic and aligned way to open up my throat chakra, allowing my voice to be heard.

  • Exercise: consider your colour choices. See which ones you like and which ones you avoid and then ask yourself if there are any associations (positive or negative) that come up around them. If any are especially triggering, try journaling on it to find out why.

Transforming with Colour

Colour is a potent tool for tapping into the subconscious mind but looking at your everyday external relationship with colour will help you to transform in to the best and most authentic version of yourself.

As your energy shifts, you naturally attract experiences and opportunities that reflect the transformation you’re embodying, allowing you to manifest positive changes with greater ease.

Up until the beginning of 2024 my wardrobe consisted of mainly black. With a bit of grey and white for variety. But I felt safest in black. And therein lay the problem - I was hiding behind it, afraid of being seen and staying protected.

Yet my soul was crying out to be seen. The work I’m doing requires me to be visible, not lurking in the shadows. So I slowly began introducing new colours. My energy shifted. I stopped being afraid.

This transformation is a subtle one - just because I advocate colour as a tool for manifestation doesn’t mean I have to go around looking like a unicorn threw up on me. That’s not my style. But now I mindfully choose the colours I wear and surround myself with depending on how I want to feel.

Incorporating your Soul Colour in to your everyday awareness is also a great way to connect with your own innate strengths and positive attributes.

In conclusion, colour is an easy, fun and holistic way to start living a high vibe life that will enable you to manifest with ease.

It’s vibrational frequency interacts with your physical, mental, and emotional states, helping you heal by balancing your energy, supporting emotional well-being, and even soothing physical ailments.

Beyond healing, colour encourages personal growth by clearing limiting beliefs, reprogramming the subconscious mind, and inspiring action.

It helps you transform by shifting your energy, aligning you with your higher intentions, and breaking old patterns that no longer serve you.
