Is Your Favourite Hoodie Blocking Your Manifestations?
It may be comfy but is it energetically aligned?

We all have one, right?
A favourite hoodie (or sweatshirt) that’s seen you through Netflix binges, Sunday hangovers, and more pizza deliveries than you’d care to admit.
It’s soft, it’s comforting, and just, well, easy. And I’m willing to stick my neck out and say it’s probably black, white or grey.
Yet these snuggly monochrome hues might be messing with your manifestation game.
But don’t sweat it (pun intended)—you don’t need to start dressing like a clown on acid to call in your desires.
Unless you want to, that is.
Why Monochrome Is ‘Meh’
Up until last year my entire wardrobe consisted of black, white and grey. Well, apart from a few pairs of denim. I have four grey hoodies and three black ones. And more white t-shirts than is practical for an artist.
And it turns out it’s not just me—according to fashion trend analysts Woven Insight, these are the leading shades in the ‘tops’ category, making up for over half of the market dominant colours! Here’s the breakdown:
Black: 33%
White: 21%
Grey: 11%
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out why this is the case.
We all know black goes with anything. It’s also elegant, slimming, and it can give us a sense of power.
But black can also keep us invisible—when wearing it we blend into the sea of all the other black-loving wannabes.
Grey is the ultimate leisure colour. It’s cosy, comfy and an easy choice. But energetically grey is saying, “I really can’t be arsed today.”
Grey represents neutrality, indecision, and a lack of clarity. It’s energy-zapping and apathetic.
Of the three, white is perhaps the least negative, however it can still play a part in blocking your manifestations.
Although it’s crisp, fresh and oh so pure, white is unimaginative, aloof, and just a bit blah.
And it won’t hide those insecurities. Or the ketchup stains.

Colour-Conscious Manifesting
Since I started introducing more colour into my wardrobe my energy has shifted.
I’m not dopamine dressing and walking round like a unicorn threw up on me—that wouldn’t be authentic—but by being intentional with the colours I wear I’m able to maintain a fairly stable state of emotional balance.
Manifesting is essentially manipulating energy—you gotta be vibing at the frequency of what you want so the universe can match it.
And, even though they are easy to wear, black, white and grey aren’t exactly helping you radiate abundance, joy, or confidence.
But before you Marie Kondo your closet and rush off to Westfield, credit card in hand, here’s the good news: this isn’t about never wearing these colours ever again (phew!).
You just gotta choose how you want to feel and dress accordingly.
Black, grey and white are excellent ‘foils’ for other colours. Pair them with pops of high vibe hues that energetically match your manifestations: such as red for getting fit, yellow for passing that exam, or green for financial abundance.
Throw on a scarf, a necklace, or even socks in your chosen manifestation colour. It’s all about those small, conscious shifts that make a big impact.

So, is your favourite hoodie actually blocking your manifestations? Maybe not entirely, but it’s not exactly rolling out the red carpet for them either.
When it comes to conscious manifesting, dress for the life you’re calling in—and make it colourful. The next time you’re setting intentions or visualising your dream life, take a moment to check your colour choices are aligned.
A pop of vibrant, intentional colour could be the missing piece in your manifestation puzzle.
And hey, your favourite hoodie can still have a place in your life. Just maybe save it for those ‘I’m bingeing all six seasons of Schitts Creek in one sitting’ kinda days.
K?
